Get the code
- Under Wheel, keep My entries to embed your own wheel, or choose a premade one.
- For your own wheel, type a title and the entries, one per line. The wheel you last used on the home page is already filled in, with its weights, colors and pictures.
- Choose the options, then press Get embed code. The preview shows exactly what visitors will see.
- Press Copy next to the code and paste it into your page.
Getting the code saves your wheel as a share link. Anyone with the code or the link can see the entries, so leave out anything private.
Websites and blogs
The code is a standard <iframe>, so it works wherever you can add HTML:
- WordPress
- Add a Custom HTML block and paste the code.
- Wix
- Add → Embed code → Embed HTML, then paste the code.
- Squarespace
- Add a Code block and paste the code.
- Google Sites
- Insert → Embed → By URL, and paste the link instead of the code.
- Notion
- Type
/embed and paste the link.
- Your own HTML
- Paste the code where the wheel should appear.
The wheel takes the full width of the spot you put it in and stays round, so it works in a main column or a sidebar. Check the page on a phone too.
PowerPoint
- In PowerPoint, go to Insert → Get Add-ins (on a Mac: Insert → Add-ins).
- Search for Web Viewer and add it.
- Paste the Link from this page (not the code) and press Preview.
- Start the slide show and click the wheel to spin it, live, in front of the room.
Google Slides and Keynote can't show live web pages on a slide. Put the link on the slide instead and open it when you need it.
Options
- Show the title
- The wheel's title above it. Turn it off for a bigger wheel.
- Sound and confetti
- The ticking while it spins and the confetti for the winner. Visitors can still mute the sound with the button under the wheel.
- Spin time
- How long each spin lasts, from 1 to 20 seconds.
- Background
- White, transparent (your page shows through), or a color of your choice.
- Height
- The height of the frame in pixels. The wheel grows to fill it, as long as the width allows.
- Remove each winner
- Takes each winner off the wheel, for draws where nobody wins twice. When the wheel is empty, the next spin starts it over.
Options don't change your wheel, only the code, so you can change them any time without a new link.
Good to know
- An embedded wheel is a snapshot. If you change your entries later, get a new code and replace the old one. Premade wheels stay up to date on their own.
- Each visitor spins on their own screen, and every visit starts from the full wheel.
- The pick is as fair as on Spin itself: it uses your browser's secure random numbers, and each slice's size is its exact chance.
- The embed loads fast and carries no ads, trackers or third-party scripts.
- A small "Spin the Wheel" link under the wheel opens it full size.
